Mass upload here, mostly Illustration class HW, but also a few fun self things

Currently I'm trying to work out doing something for the summer, I really would like an internship in some sort of illustration or advertising work. Recently I have fallen in LOVE with fashion Illustration. Unfortunately I also have discovered it is a semi-dead art that it trying to be revived right now But I haven't given up on the idea of character design!


Hope everyone is doing well out there! Spring Semester starts next week right along with my birthday. How quickly time passes! @.@

Been a while ^_^

Hmmm ... personally i love character designing (the personalities, the quirks, the background story) more than fashion design .. but that's because i'm not good at designing clothes (my designs are too generic), but still can't believe that fashion illustration is a semi-dead art, that's strange ... what would lead to that ?

Fashion Illustration became less popular when Fashion photography was introduced. I mean, now days their is a renewed interest, but not nearly the same driving force that used to exist.

Hmmm, i see .. so that's why, at least glad to hear that there is a renewed interest in fashion illustrations ... but it also a fact that illustration still prevails as a main pillar in sketching and creating the fashion designs themselves .. that's something i don't think photography can replace.

I dunno, I mean I just sorta sent off my portfolio and I got in. I'll tell you though, I was having nightmares for weeks waiting for that letter. I think it was mostly because I didn't have any-other school I wanted to go to, and I'm a paranoid freak XP

Sorry I took so long to respond!

Ummm, my highschool teachers said they would like traditional media more, as well as pencil, charcoal and oil paint. I did send in some Photoshop and Illustrator work though. I really have no idea what they liked @.@

RISD is pretty cool if you like being surrounded by art all the time! But if you want anything else your not gonna find it lol. Also, Art school runs your perspective on everything. You go into a restaurant and you look at the menu and think "This design is terrible! and the placement of this picture in regards to thins information is awful!" lol
